Is Nintendo World Coming To the US?

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™, the innovative, immersive and highly-anticipated themed land officially opens at Universal Studios Hollywood on Friday, February 17, 2023. So, get ready; this exciting debut marks SUPER NINTENDO WORLD’s official arrival to the United States. Super Nintendo World is a themed area at Universal Studios Japan, and under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Singapore and the upcoming Universal’s Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort.

Extended hours are implemented on some weekends and on public holidays. The park remains open every day of the year. Tickets typically cost between 2,500 yen and 7,315 yen. Express Passes and VIP wristbands are also available, allowing you to bypass the long lines that are sure to follow this new attraction.

The park was originally scheduled to open in 2023, but the planned opening has been delayed to mid-2025 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are also plans to bring Super Nintendo World to Universal Studios Singapore, which is expected to be complete by 2025.

Universal Studios Hollywood announced its Nintendo-themed land, which is already under construction, will open in early 2023. When it does, guests will have the chance to become part of a larger-than-life Nintendo universe.

Universal Orlando’s own Super Nintendo World will feature all three rides — Mario Kart, Yoshi’s Adventure and a Donkey Kong mine cart roller coaster — when it debuts as part of the new Epic Universe theme park in 2025.

And though it will be several more years before Super Nintendo World will be ready to go at Epic Universe in Orlando, the first US-based version of this land at Universal Studios Hollywood is nearing completion, with Universal confirming that this land will open in early 2023.

Nintendo justified the discontinuity of the services as a way to make Super Mario Bros.’s 35th Anniversary more special. While this makes sense for limited editions and collector’s items, fans are not too happy about this decision also encompassing long-awaited remakes of classic games.

The newly expanded area will make its debut Feb. 17, 2023, with rides, attractions and a restaurant. It will feature the new ride, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, and new features and attractions in the Mushroom Kingdom.

The long-awaited and highly anticipated Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood will officially open on Friday, February 17, 2023. It’s the most immersive and significant new addition to the Los Angeles theme park since The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was added in April 2016.

Universal Studios Japan – home to Super Nintendo World – has signed a “long-term partnership” with Pokémon. A short statement issued today confirmed plans for the theme park to work with The Pokémon Company and begin integrating the hugely-popular pocket monster franchise from as soon as 2022.

How to get into Super Nintendo World. Super Nintendo World is immensely popular, and getting a free timed-entry ticket or paid Express Pass is necessary to enter the land. With an Express Pass, you’re guaranteed entry into the land and reduce your wait time at the attractions!
