Is Death Stranding 2 Confirmed?

Death Stranding 2 was officially confirmed to be in development at The Game Awards in 2022. During the event, Kojima himself made an appearance and unveiled the first-ever trailer showcasing a glimpse of his brand-new sequel. Death Stranding is a 2019 action game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their split from Konami in 2015.

The game is set in the United States following a cataclysmic event which caused destructive creatures to begin roaming the Earth. Players control Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus), a courier tasked with delivering supplies to isolated colonies and reconnecting them via a wireless communications network.

Cutscenes contain more intense instances of violence: a man and an infant shot—the latter, accidentally (blood splatter appears below the infant); a character shooting a comatose patient in the head; a man stabbing himself repeatedly in the distance. A handful of scenes depict a character with his buttocks exposed.

Sometime through their marriage, Lucy became pregnant with Sam’s daughter, planning to name her Louise. However, around her seventh month of pregnancy, Lucy began suffering DOOMS nightmares, a result of Sam’s condition being passed down to Lou.

Seven months

A Bridge Baby is a seven months fetus removed via a cesarean section from a brain-dead mother. A stillmother’s womb facilitates a connection between the world of the dead and a BB, granting the operatives the ability to sense and detect BTs when physically connected.

When focusing on the main objectives, Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is about 36 Hours in length. If you’re a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 106 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

Sam suffers from aphenphosmphobia, a fear of being touched. As noted by his late wife Lucy, this condition was likely caused (or at least aggravated) by limited social interaction as a child. Sam initially overcame this condition through his relationship with Lucy but regressed upon her death.

If players want to stay clean and proper during their time in Death Stranding, then there’s no better way to go about it than showering in a nice, hot shower. Players can take a bath at any time by heading to the nearest city and making their way into Sam Bridges’ Private Room.

You rarely associate romance and gaming, but in Death Stranding you have one man’s love for another driving him to reconnect America. It is a journey of love helping a character endure incredible hardships and choose to keep on moving forward.

The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue. This game is rated PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for anyone below this age. This rating has been given due to depictions of violence towards vulnerable human-like characters, and use of sexual expletives.

While still making offline mode available, Kojima said he “really wouldn’t recommend it”. His argument was that in playing offline “You completely lose the support of other players, and it becomes an entirely standalone, single-player experience.” Playing offline was clearly not what he intended.
